Daniela Arriado is a Chilean-Norwegian Curator and Producer. She holds an MA in Curatorial Studies from the Faculty of Fine Art, Music and Design, University of Bergen. Arriado is the founder of the Art Republic platform, located in Oslo and Berlin, and since 2013 she has been the artistic director of Screen City Biennial – dedicated to the expanded moving image in public space. Her curatorial research finds motivation in exploring present-day social, political, and ecological issues, and her projects often explore the relation between image, sound and architecture – seeking to expand the borders of the cinematic experience. She also works as an advisor to artist studios, organizations, fairs and collectors, with a focus on contemporary moving images. Arriado is a board member of IKT - International Association of Curators of Contemporary Art, and a member of The Norwegian Association of Curators.
