Curator  I  Advisor 

Daniela Arriado is a Chilean-Norwegian Curator and Founder of the Art Republic – platform for art, technology and sustainability, focusing on public space, located in Berlin and Oslo. Between 2013-2023 she was the artistic director of Screen City Biennial dedicated to the expanded moving image, leading four editions resulting in an extended list of new commissions, public programs and journals. Her curatorial research departs around present-day social, political and ecological issues in conversation with digital culture. She has curated and commissioned an extended list of projects exploring the relation between image, sound and architecture, aiming to expand the borders of cinematic and immersive experiences. 

Passionate about nurturing new talent, as well as encouraging and developing the practice of established artists, she has initiated several cross cultural and interdisciplinary partnerships and projects. Between 2008-2012, she was an active member of the urban screens movement through initiates taking place in the Nordics, Germany and the US.

Arriado works as an advisor for foundations, fairs and collections with a focus on contemporary moving images and digital culture, and city councils on the development of public art commission programs. She is an active board member of
 IKT - International Association of Curators of Contemporary Art, and of The Norwegian Association of Curators. She holds an MA in Curatorial Studies from the Faculty of Fine Art, Music and Design, University of Bergen, and Arts & Cultural Management from the University of Stavanger.
